| 10 live tracks from Gary Brooker's 'other' band, recorded in Southend on Sea in 2006 [one additional track of spoken introductions]. In December 2006 No Stiletto Shoes [Graham Broad (drums), Gary Brooker (voice and piano), Dave Bronze (bass), Andy Fairweather Low (guitar and voice) and Frank Mead (saxes, harmonica, percussion)] discovered that an unofficial 24-track stereo recording had been made of one set they'd played at Club Riga in Southend. They acquired the master-files and produced a limited number of CDs to sell at the 2007 gigs. 'Beyond the Pale' has acquired a small number of these CDs to offer on a first-come first-served, not-for-profit basis. A proportion of the sale price goes to an Old Folks' Home in Southend with which the band has personal connections. |
